Spaceplane Propulsion Platforms
This is an ongoing personal investigation with the end goal of designing a reusable single stage propulsion system for a return-ground-to-orbit spaceplane. My goal requirements are,
- No expendable components,
- A contiguous single engine unit,
- Low complexity.
This project is a personal challenge for me as it allows me to grow, as an aerospace engineer. So I must become familiar with Jet, Hypersonic, and Rocket propulsion technologies, as each of them work in totally different environments: i.e., air, rarefied air, and vacuum, respectively.
As this project progresses, I will add notes on some my preliminary investigations, along with general discussion. The following are some projects that I have completed,
